Buttery Garlic Green Beans


This is a great easy side recipe. If you or your kids prefer the beans on the softer side cook for an additional 2-3 minutes in the simmering water at the beginning.

Ingredients:

1 pound fresh green beans, trimmed and snapped in half 

3 tablespoons butter 

3 cloves garlic, minced 

1-2 pinches lemon pepper 

salt to taste 


Directions:

1. Place green beans into a large pan and cover with water; bring to a boil.

2. Reduce heat to medium-low and simmer until beans start to soften, about 5 minutes.

3. Drain water.

4. Add butter and minced garlic to green beans; cook and stir until butter is melted and garlic is tender, roughly 3-4 minutes.

5. Season with lemon pepper and salt as desired.
